anders still trying to convince me that the new star wars sucks?
Don’t feel that I ever did try, but I’ll probably continue to post about the strenghts and weaknesses of the various Star Wars movies. It all comes from love.
The longer they take to release a trailer for this thing, the more concerned I get.
I'm imagining some poor bastard sitting in a dark editing room, anxious, smoking, sweating and sleep deprived. He's been tasked with creating a trailer that is actually good, or his job is on the line. There's really only one choice for him. God bless him. The next headline will be that the studio and all copies of the film were destroyed in a fire. They'll find his carcass exactly like this:

I was listening to Fatman on Batman and they were talking about the next 'big' death in the movies and it was a toss-up between Chewie and the Falcon. I think it's going to be the Falcon simply because we have the Solo movie coming out. Here it is in perfect condition and a year or so later here it is going out in a blaze of glory.

Why the fuck aren't they pushing this to December? The movie is obviously a shit show, and they're fucking up my Christmas tradition.
B my dear boy. Nothing can happen in this sphere without the entire media whipping by up a shit storm to generate revenue.
Those outlets already are pushing the notion that this film is in crisis and had to be rescued and put into safe hands.
Not entirely untrue.
But if they moved Solo back to December, at this stage, it would validate and create a whole new shit storm the likes of which we haven’t yet seen and the public and no doubt the Disney stock value, would actually self immolate and any prospects the film had regardless of how good or not it is, would burn in a hard drive somewhere before we’ve even seen it.
If they’d were going to push it back they would have and probably should have when Howard took over.
