The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
32 shows and bonnaroo 08 is still my favorite, and seeing this song performed live (even in modified form) is still one of my favorite moments. going into my first show in 1998, and having little idea of what they played, i wanted to hear this and who you are. by 2008, 15-some odd shows, and a much better knowledge of their concert history, i'd resigned myself to the likelihood i'd never have the opportunity to hear either in a live setting. but NOPE, they completely surprise me, and really make this show memorable by playing two of my favorites i'd never thought i'd see, among the many other highlights in this particular night. what a show.
I'm lucky to have seen pearl jam in 1994 and 1995. nothing will compare to those, but of the 50 something shows I've seen in the years since, bonnaroo is on top. i agree, what a special night

holy fucking shit
My god. It is absolutely wlid to see them open with Release at a show like this. That song and that moment was absolutely meant for bigger things.
Also crazy that this show was only 3.5 years before the first show I saw them. They were such a different band in that time frame. Fascinating.
I miss rock and roll. Thinking of Led Zep due to the recent tourney and Pearl Jam in the perspective of taking the baton from classic rock heroes... fuck. Over.

I mean, shit, Jeremy video wasn't even out at this point of this show. I looked it up. Releasing a video not 5 months later and everything changes. EVERYTHING. I miss rock n roll impacting culture like that.

yeah, part of me thought it would always come back around again but we're far past that now. in retrospect, PJ was the last giant band to be a part of the continuum. at least they're still going.

And that improv right after. Geezes.
I had that improv on a compilation and could never find the source. I put that on so many mixes. Thanks for posting!

oh man! when i started trading tapes, i only had like 3 shows to offer, so I did a lot of B+P's. i remember one of the first B+P i did, the guy added this show as a "beginner's gift". loved it so much.
