I'm still reeling over that spoiler I saw on that guy's FB page. If it is true, it ruined a very big, pleasant surprise. I'll never be able to have that genuine reaction during the movie.

I understand this and sympathize. It totally sucks. But just remember that the movie isn't built or broken on a plot point. As a theater major I used to read scripts before I saw the play, every time. There was so much joy in being able to know what was happening and just experiencing the artists work and seeing how it was executed. Don't let one thing ruin the movie. If it's true, big deal. It's one moment. Surprises are fleeting. And if the movie's overall value hangs on those moments, then it's not a good movie.

It can ruin the experience though, or at least, diminish it.
I heard rumblings about Han being killed but that didnt ruin the moment for me when it happened. nothing is concrete until i see it happen on the screen.

I understand that. I'm just trying to give a different perspective. Because it doesn't have to ruin or diminish the experience. That's what I'm trying to say. There's a way that it can be a good thing that allows you to enjoy the movie on a different level.

This is a good point. I totally knew that was coming and it still hit pretty hard. It's all about execution. Knowing something will happen and seeing it happen are totally different things.

First piece of evidence: Episode 1 online descriptions vs. actual film.

Yeah, I don't want to even say what it relates to (character, plot point, etc.) but if it turns out to be true, I'll explain how it ruined things for me. Not the whole movie, but the reaction to one specific thing. Anyway, it is all good. I'm still super excited to see mini Ewoks that can fly sitting in the Falcon.
