The other night I played that bridges are burning down song on the juke for my buddy who's a big Foo fan.. that song is pretty awesome.. that whole album was.. probably the last thing they did that was great
I actually wanted to play stacked actors but the juke didn't have it

These guys (and Weezer) are playing about about a five minute drive from my house in January, thinking of going along. Haven't seen them since 1998.
You should definitely go Spenno - they're a well-oiled machine and play a nice mix of songs from all albums
I saw the last two tours, both at Sydney Football Stadium. The first one was great, the second felt like I was watching the exact same show again, but with a few lame Sonic Highways songs slotted in. Weezer is a nice bonus this time, but I'm suffering Foo-fatigue so going to pass this time.
The new album is not bad on first listen - much better than the last, but not as good as Wasting Light.
I'm thinking of going to see them in Melbourne as I haven't seen Weezer yet. I like to get off the island and see a corny stadium show or go to a festival once a year. Last tours Foo show in a 7,000 venue was cool but the Sonic Highways songs were pretty underwhelming.

Wasting Light is really good. Definitely a return to form type of album that covers all the type of material they do well, like a more polished Colour and the Shape.

So at the show in Columbia last night, some kid was holding up a sign saying he wanted to play "under pressure" with the band. Dave called him out on it and well, the kid did alright for himself.

This is Dave's chance to finally fire Taylor Hawkins.

I’m in Sioux Falls, SD for the Nike cross country Regionals. I have 6 girls running. Luckily, every one of them has a parent with because the Foos were playing literally down the hall from the convention center where we were having our banquet. Grabbed a ga ticket for $99 on my phone and had a blast. They opened with Everlong, which was really weird, but a unique treat. Their records may be mainly filler, but their hits are made for arenas, and they’re so fun live.

Saw them in Madison WI last week, they really do know how to put on an entertaining show. I kinda look at them as a more hard rock version of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The shows just both have the same good feeling vibe going on.
I normally love long jams and extended songs but man sometimes the Foo's just take it too far (and it doesn't feel as spontaneous as when Zeppelin, Hendrix, Cream, Neil, the greats did it). On the flip side, I wish PJ would jam out a lil more on some of their songs (Besides Porch, RVM, Alive, Even Flow, Black, and Betterman)
Im glad im not in my country around that date, because i really dont want to see the foos. i would have gone for QOTSA, but yeah, their new album sucks hard.

I put the documentary yesterday while i did some cleaning in the house. Its a fun one. Its kinda sad the last interesting thing they did was Wasting Light.

Good news for any of you having to suffer through a Foo Fighters show upcoming in Europe. The Kills are opening for them, so at least you'll see one good band.

everything they do feel scripted, forced, and disingenuous. even the forced F bombs Dave drops to get cheers. Its nauseating. I used to really like this band 15+ years ago. I think I might hate them now.
