I've nearly totally stopped ordering new releases during their first month of release. Unless something is advertised as limited or part of a bundle that I'm interested in, I usually wait a month or two and I can find the LPs at 75% or 50% of their original price. www.camelcamelcamel.com

yeah, i've just now started doing this as well. the thing that's been pissing me off about vinyl sales lately is the mirage of limited supply. special edition versions that you have to buy on pre-sale without hearing any of the music -- crap like that.

Yeah, the phrase "limited edition vinyl release" has become pretty fucking bogus most of the time--unless you're given concrete numbers (limited to 5,000 copies, first 500 copies on red vinyl, etc.), it's just used to pry money from people before prices begin to drop.

Was this generally considered the best show of that tour or just the best sounding one available?
