I am firmly on team verm: the original is beautiful to look at, and of course the score is great, but it has all the forward momentum of a coat fresh paint.
I love the first one. Its a masterpiece...too slow? maybe...who cares really, when everything you are watching is so cool. How many movies stole from BR? Cmon. The sequel is another masterpiece.
This movie was spectacular and I'm really glad I saw it in the theater. The few things I didn't like were massively overshadowed by the successes. Some scenes were outright awe-inducing. I'm gonna have to see it again as well.

Cells. Interlinked.
I don't know why but I loved those "checkup" scenes
