I meant specifically that Mikey Day and Alex Moffet are the literal worst. They have no business on this show at all.

You can just stop there.
Also, I really like Ryan Gosling, and he's a good host. I just didn't think the writing was very good.
The writing hasn't been great. And surprise, surprise! Day and Moffet have been the dominant dudes in all three episodes. Doesn't that mean they're doing the majority of the writing? Doesn't that mean that they're terrible?
It could mean that Day and Moffet are getting more scripts to air, but not necessarily; they may just be especially versatile performers within the troupe.

Well we know that isn't true. We have categorical proof. So, it must be the thing I said.

I like when you're feisty in the morning.
It's so weird watching SNL again with regularity. It's something I never thought I'd do. I like being able to talk to people about it. Even when those people have vastly different opinions about it.

This season definitely has had an off feel so far. The ingredients have been there but they have just not jelled well yet. I'm also more than tired of Baldwin's Trump.

i'm with trag here in that the first 3 episodes were 90% awful. i don't know how they dropped so far so quickly from last season. a few highlights here and there, but overall, most of the skits have been painful.
Kyle Mooney and Beck Bennett continue to be my favorite. I love the weird bond they have with each other. KIND OF reminds me of David Spade and Chris Farley. not nearly as funny, obviously, but the way they have that 1-2 punch and interact with each other gives me that vibe.
I enjoy Mikey Day and Alex Moffat. They often make me chuckle and I think they are on a real rise. I think Chris Redd has a ton of potential too, he just hasn't found his voice yet.
Heidi Gardner also has loads of potential, and I can see her replacing Cecily or Kate once they move on.
Alex Moffat was good as Don Jr in the Larry David episode. It's literally the only time I've liked his work even a little bit. Mikey Day is god awful. Agree on Gardner's potential.

Pretty bad episode last night, but some funny jokes were to be found throughout. I'd never heard of Tiffany Hadish before but I liked her quite a bit. Taylor Swift is a non-entity to me.
Who is tiffany haddish and why the fuck is she hosting SNL? I had to look her up and see what she's done. AM i that out of touch these days? I didnt recognize a damn thing.
She was obnoxious. This was a bad episode all around.
