The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Guys, I am not a moderator! I swear to God! Why does everyone think I'm a moderator?

Or you could just talk about shows in the yearly threads we already have, instead of cluttering the board with individual shows. This place is starting to look like the Pit because of you.

I have enjoyed the 'Let's Actually Listen to Mikejasond Listening to" series

But if you do that, then if somebody else listens to the same show they have to go through a giant multi page thread to try to find discussion about the random individual show they watched.
Whereas if its in the index they can click the exact show and talk about that exact show.
Its the same as having topics for each song on the board. Sure, you can talk about Faithful in the Yield topic, but its better to have its own topic just for talking about Faithful.
If you tried to talk about a random 2003 show in the 2003 topic, then somebody comes along and listens to that show a while later, and they'll never see it
Well if they have their own topics it allows other people to revisit these old PJ shows also which could facilitate discussion one day and be interesting. Whereas the discussion in the topics about the tour it just seems like talk will go there to die. I could understand those topics being used to discuss larger scale discussions about the tour in general, favorite shows, and how you think the tour is as a whole, and comparing shows to each other, or ranking them.
But it seems nice to have a place to discuss individual shows too. If I post these recaps in the year topics it will get buried and if somebody comes along and listens to it they won't be able to join the discussion unless they happen across it right away. Whereas if the index has the shows then somebody might listen to a great show and be able to jump right into a topic and be like 'this show was awesome' and see what other people thought of that show in the past (which is very hard to do when scrolling through a giant topic of hundreds of posts)
I envision a world where, just like how on the PJ forum I can listen to a song and jump right into a topic to discuss my opinions on that song, I can listen to a bootleg and jump right into a topic to discuss my opinions on that specific bootleg
In theory I agree with msj, but in practice it's just too much.
Its too much if you try to navigate the live index forum, but just like using the PJ forum, doing navigation without the index thread is just crazy. If the index thread was updated it wouldn't be too much anymore
