The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I finished Alias. It certainly lived up to its reputation. On to The Pulse next.
Hmmm. Maybe you should quit while you're ahead.
Its wasn't bad. Got hijacked in the middle with Secret Wars and House of M event crossover crap. Certainly wasn't Alias. Gotta find New Avengers Annual #1 now.

No, it's not bad, just tonally different. IIRC, big stuff happens in that annual.

OK I'm on to the current JJ series. Is there anything I should have read prior to this series that explains why she is where she is now or does that get explained as the series goes on?

I honestly have no idea. BUT, I started reading it dry and have had no problem keeping up with what's going on in it.

So not only do I find out that this is being published, it's the 2nd series? Jesus. I need to get to a comic book store.
Quote:
Premise[edit]
A year after the Autobots, G.I. Joe, M.A.S.K., Rom, Action Man, and the Micronauts stopped fighting each other and joined forces together to foil the conspiracy orchestrated by Miles Mayhem, Baron Karza, and the Dire Wraiths, Earth is finally ready to join as an official member of Cybertron's Council of Worlds, until the ceremony is interrupted by a pre-emptive nuclear strike.[2]
The mastermind behind the attack is G.I. Joe's founder turned traitor, General Joe Colton a.k.a. Baron Ironblood,[3] who has assembled a group of nefarious villains to revive Cobra, in order to destroy all Transformers, as he believes they are in league with the Dire Wraiths.[4]
Now, Optimus Prime, Scarlett, and the other heroes must unite again to defeat Colton and Cobra before another war between the two planets begins.[5]
I still occasionally read the odd issue of GI Joe. The crossovers with the Transformers are never as cool as your 10 year old self used to imagine though.

Marvel mainstream hasn't interested me in a long, long time. And it took me a long time to accept that. I've still got books from 4-5 years ago I never read. Makes me kinda sad, because it's was a Marvel junkie for years and years.
I read Jessica Jones and that's it.
