The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
It's slowly growing on me, but this album hasn't grabbed me anywhere near as much as any of the previous 4.

I saw them last night with my kid in Detroit at the Masonic Temple. Great venue. The last time I was there was in 1994 for Pearl Jam.
In any event, the show was fine. Matt was hammered. He messed up about 4 songs, and missed the whole bridge and last refrain on Empire Line, walking out and never coming back. I think he was having issues with this voice -- at one point during Dark Side of the Gym he coughed audibly during the song. He did get better as the show went on though. We had 6th row center on the aisle, so the best part was during Terrible Love when Matt came into the crowd and started dancing with my son. It made his night.
On the whole, it made realize that with this album, I'm just not a fan of Walk It Back, Born to Beg, Guilty Party, or Carin at the Liquor Store. They're not bad, but do nothing for me. They're just there.
As for the shows, I've taken issue with this before, but man I wish they would get out of their comfort zone and play some different things to shake things up. They've been playing the same group of songs now for nearly 10 years. I get the new stuff -- they are promoting a new album. But maybe throw one or two different songs in between. I've seen Mr. November, Vanderlyle, and Terrible Love in the same encore since 2010 (15 times total). Yikes.
Anyway, here is last night's setlist:
1. Nobody Else Will Be There 2. The System Only Dreams in Total Darkness 3. Walk It Back 4. Guilty Party 5. Don't Swallow the Cap 6. Afraid of Everyone 7. Dark Side of the Gym (with Shara Worden) 8. Empire Line 9. Turtleneck 10. I Need My Girl (with Shara Worden) 11. Secret Meeting 12. Slow Show 13. Conversation 16 14. Bloodbuzz Ohio 15. Carin at the Liquor Store (with Shara Worden) 16. Day I Die 17. Fake Empire 18. About Today ______________________________ 19. Born to Beg (with Shara Worden) 20. Morning Dew (Bonnie Dobson cover) 21. Mr. November 22. Terrible Love (with Shara Worden) 23. Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks
is this sloppy show and good/fine performance typical?
seeing them for first time in dec, and my expectations are starting to decline.
Saw them at the Belly Up in aspen and they did All The Wine twice and basically aborted it both times because Matt couldnt get the lyrics right and when he did he was laughing at them.
