I get that if you're not a Cubs fan maybe this could be a drag. Also, it's not like we were all at the concert going "yeah Go Cubs!" cause that wasn't happening although it was for ol Ed so we were happy to share in his big moment.
That, a straightshot video like Touring Band or LIve at the Garden was great for it's time but wouldn't make any sense now. We all have vids to at youtube. Only thing that makes sense for something for the band to release is a conceptual film with a theme and a story. I love what Danny Clinch and those concerts were the greatest shows ever so if it takes me back to those nights I'm good.
Also, the reviewer said this may challenge PJ fans and good gawd I want that (like Backspacer did). anything that challenges PJ fans I'm probably gonna be down with. Right now it's alot of people wanting the same shit.
Camera pans the crowd, some snippets of commentary. Camera cuts to pitcher shaking/nodding his head, pitches, batter smashes a home run.
Crowd cheers, some kind of guitar/drum/mic feedback is heard in the background, cuts to cheering concert crowd, Eddie steps up and makes a baseball/Cubs reference, kicks into Go. Crowd goes apeshit.
20 seconds of song plays, then cuts to Eddie sitting in empty stadium. Ernest like. Talks about memories of growing up as a Cubs fan.
You get the idea.
I think this will be interesting enough, visuals and audio-wise. I'm not sure it will have a lot of depth to it, maybe some uplifting scenes and sentiment. Maybe we see/hear a little about Ed than we already know.
For me it's a night away from the family, to chill out with a few mates and see something PJ related that's new and a perhaps little different.

I'm still looking forward to it, but from the review it doesn't sound amazing.
Yeah same. I'll have to drink a few beers first so I can just tune out how annoying Ed is and just enjoy the experience. You know, like at a PJ concert.

so some pictures surfacing of the vinyl, from 10c, includes a slipmat and sticker. why wouldn't they think to include that information when buying from 10c - b/c I probably would have not cancelled my order from them. stupid.

you're looking for answers where none exist
It's marketing. You have to decide if you want to risk missing out or not and the rabid fans are not gonna chance it.

It's dishonest, manipulative capitalism and there was a time I thought this band would be above that.

Oh geezes. Don't be so dramatic.
Love you.
I hope you and Joey had a magical time together.
She played a song for me, dedicated to me. It was magic.

Too bad you like men, eh?
My sexuality is a lot more complicated than you think.
