The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
They were at gamestop last time I went.. I was so pumped when it first came out to get it but it's months later and there hasn't been a new game I'm interested in so I'm glad I didn't get it
I totally get not being wowed by the games released so far, but I'm actually pretty impressed with the major releases since this was released. Every month or two we've had a solid triple A release. The Mario Rabbids game even looks great.

Why would nintendo do something that nice for its consumer? No way in hell. You will need to buy some outdated piece of shit console to play their ancient titles.

They'll wait until the 3DS is no longer selling and after they've released and sold out the Classic N64 of course.

Anyone know why Amazon isn't selling NBA Live 2018?
They're not selling a physical copy of 2k18 for pre-orders either. Odd.
I bet its some sort of price war thing.
Maybe?!
100% conjecture but EA is selling Live as a pre-order for $39. After the release date it jumps to $60. So if Amazon does the Prime discount they will be selling the game for like $30. I'm thinking EA is balking at that and 2K might be in a similar position. Competitors might be complaining they can't compete. I could very well be making all this up.

I didn't know Live was selling for the cheap at launch, thanks for the info. I downloaded the demo. Didn't love it. A little too slow/floaty for me and the animations were a little janky. Just lacked that polish of the 2k games. It was better than I was expecting through.
I've very intrigued by the new animation system in 2k. Hopefully it means fewer canned animations.

I should try the demo. I'm hoping Live is good cause in the past it kinda hit that sweet spot between arcade and simulation. After trying several 2K's I came to the conclusion that I don't like straight up basketball sim games.

That's fair. It is not accessible really at all. I've been playing the series so long it doesn't bother me. I want Live to be good. Competition is great.
Starting to play more online games with my headset. People talk a lot of shit and drop a lot of F bombs until you actually respond in a mature, rational way. Then it is like talking to a completely different person. I love it.
