I first “learned” guitar as a teenager and at the time learned two finger power chords, not four finger barre chords, and I absolutely cannot break out of that now. Totally ingrained. I can’t get to a four finger barre chord quickly to save my life.
Two finger power chords? Reid is out here trying alternate tunings on his classical w/ nylon and you're still back at the starting line talking about two finger power chords.
Getting back into jamming silly chords with my toddler. I stopped playing around him for a few months because he simply couldn't handle not reaching for the tuning knobs. I think he's old enough now and I can set that boundary and help him understand. I love every little twang and scratch he makes when he plays on the strings while I'm making chords, but messing with the machine head is the limit.
I've finally mastered wah, although I think I've done my pedal in. The pedal seems to not be offering any resistance anymore, although the spring seems to work ok. The battery seems to still have life (I've just got a plug for Christmas for my other pedals, including a multi effect and volume pedal so I'm still ok for wah), as there seems to be a button on the front (but still on top) I've just discovered. Seems a real on/off button, you press it and the tone changes. It doesn't seem to be in such a position to be designed to be pushed by the spring either (it doesn't exactly only just miss).
With the internet these days, there's always plenty to help you learn and discover. Have fun!

So is About A Girl.
It helps on About a Girl if you can roll your hand from the E to the G chord, leaving your middle finger on the 5th string, using your pinky for the high e string on the G chord.
