really liked the gazebo. the multitracking is cool.
thanks... tho every time I listen.. like now i just gave it another chance.. i cringe so much at the pitchy/sloppy vocals .. that's why i quit.. just couldn't ever put it all together and the embarrassments listening back was too much to bear
i did write many many songs I'm very proud to have written.. but sadly they will remain good ideas never done well

Why don't you hook up with a singer?
There's an idea. I always believed I could do it better with enough practice... and anytime I collaborated I wanted to sing. I'd be down for hooking up with a good singer these days, though, if I had time to play and didn't live in the woods in the middle of nowhere.

that was great! and agree with other people, your voice is better than you probably realize. it's always difficult trying to judge your own voice. thanks for sharing!
almost everything i've written i've never intended to play for other people. my neighbors hear it from my back yard, but i don't think there's anything wrong with just writing songs for yourself. i've recorded myself to play over, but even that stuff i just do b/c i want to see what i can make w/o any real purpose other than i'm having fun.

Thanks, man. Yeah, I think the thing with me is, the more time passes between me writing/recording a decent (apparently) song and listening to it, the less harshly I tend to judge it. I can't believe I actually like this song. I don't have a bad voice, but tended to tense up and make a lot of errors when it came to recording shit.

Thanks dad. Tell that to the Saint Louis open mic crowd that didn’t seem to give a shit about it! Or probably they were just tired of my drunken shenanigans
