I used to want to be a musician/singer/songwriter

I'm going through an old website I submitted songs to and here are some decent enough attempts I'm not completely embarrassed about...

Maybe if I took some vocal lessons I could've been somebody

In the Note (2007):

Beach Front (2009):

The Gazebo (2009):

Love Yourself (2012):

These are pretty good tree. Not really my style of music, but the talent is there. You're a better singer than you gave yourself credit for.

thanks...

nah i know what i was

mediocre at best

and my lack of any stage presence at all made the whole dream ridiculous

also, this doesn't even feel like me.. i think if i were to give it another go i'd sound much different.. prolly better but who cares at this point

thanks... tho every time I listen.. like now i just gave it another chance.. i cringe so much at the pitchy/sloppy vocals .. that's why i quit.. just couldn't ever put it all together and the embarrassments listening back was too much to bear

i did write many many songs I'm very proud to have written.. but sadly they will remain good ideas never done well

Why don't you hook up with a singer?

There's an idea. I always believed I could do it better with enough practice... and anytime I collaborated I wanted to sing. I'd be down for hooking up with a good singer these days, though, if I had time to play and didn't live in the woods in the middle of nowhere.
