the burger isn’t even an American cuisine! Like everything else here, it was stolen.

Texas style BBQ

Also cheeseburgers 100% count; most cuisines use elements from other countries, and America obviously perfected them

Lots of great food in the US

Tex-Mex, New Orleans, soul food, or take your pick of any of the dozen or so different barbecue cuisines across the US

Put it this way. There are "American restaurants" literally all over the world, they're a huge draw. I have never heard of someone saying "hey let's go get some Finnish food"

Yeah

I can't get over what an atrocious answer "The US" is for this thread

I was trying to be the one guy to badmouth his own country for the sake of discussion.

I love cheeseburgers. Alton Brown recently touted Oklahoma City as having the best cheeseburger in the US.

Reddit tells me there aren't any in your neck of the woods. Go to Rein's in CT sometime.

All of these listed and your Texas style BBQ comment all make me so proud to be a southeast Texan. Each of these foods can be found in abundance here, the absolute gold standard of US food. And for a fair price too.
