when you are dicing, how often do you throw in a diagonal cross-cut for flair

i'm getting into baking a bit, and may stick to savory items only. the amount of sugar and oil that goes into, say, zucchini bread is appalling.

Yeah crab is hard to turn down for me but I rarely crave lobster. I still think about the last time I had fried green tomatoes with cold crab dressing. So good.
