relatives of my wife were down here for the weekend to watch our dog while we were gone..we were able to spend a few days with them..I made homemade enchiladas on Sunday night..they said they had never heard of an enchilada...they are both almost 70 years old..fascinating

So I was watching this video about each US state's signature hot dog, and Maine's "red snapper" (@6:11) stood out to me. It looks absolutely vile when compared to some of these other masterpieces (like the Chicago-style dog).

That's hilarious and heartwarming at the same time! It's amazing how different cultures and cuisines can be. Homemade enchiladas are such a treat, and introducing your wife's relatives to them must have been a culinary adventure. If they enjoyed that, imagine the excitement of exploring more new dishes.

I was watching the cooking channel this morning and they were in Nashville..they were topping a lot of food with Tennessee chow chow which I had never heard of...basically a hot relish with other ingredients...I ordered a bottle on amazon right after..will report..I'm sure others here have had it
