Cadet on St Laurent Blvd for dinner with my Québécois colleagues. 3 bottles of red wine, and tapas.

We shared a couple of cheese plates , lupini, and olives.

Main course for me was blood sausage over basmati with pumpkin seeds, squash and green chili, as well as a plate of fingerlings with chimichurri and mayonnaise.

Passed on desert, but I had a cappuccino.

I can hardly wait for dinner tomorrow. My team has decided to opt out of the event dinner in favor of a place of our own choosing because they’re tired of “the rubber chicken.”

wrong!

a hamburger, because it's meteor. :haha:

I had a hamburger in Cornwall, Ontario - on Tuesday night. It was meatyocre.

I may or may not have been in dad joke mode!

I have about another 30 minutes before check-in so I stopped at Founders in Detroit. I’m a little disappointed they don’t offer the shandy version of their Red’s Rye IPA here like they do in Grand Rapids.

So I’m eating my emotions. (Huge soft pretzel and mustard.)

Reid did not disappoint in his first food rec in Houston. We went to a burger joint called the Rodeo Goat, and the burger was delicious.

Last night in Boise, is there anything that is a must-try? Did Barbacoa last night and it was good, if a little spendy.

Boise fry company if you want something quick. Great selection of French fries and sauces.

It's pretty good for a Dallas based company. 8-)

I’ll be in Dallas next month. Where’s a decent place to eat between DFW and Coppell?

I've never been but this is the best looking place I could find on a map from the airport to Coppell.

https://hardeightbbq.com/

get the $2.95 fried okra and spring for the banana pudding

I'd stay away from the chicken and shrimp poppers, but I guess that kind of thing is par for the course when it comes to Dallas BBQ.

Honestly though, I don't mean to be snarky but Taco Cabana is probably your best bet in a Dallas suburb.

I can't really make fun of the 2011 World Series to Rangers fans anymore after being 8 outs away in Houston this year. :|

Well yeah. That sentiment has been established, but I’m still going to be hungry when I’m there.

Couldn’t you come up with a less lazy post than this? Dallas is the worst, but there has to be at least somewhere where I can get a decent meal.

I’d rather not. The HR manager that dropped the ball on my dental coverage at my previous job took a position at Whattaburger and I refuse to eat there. I know it’s a stupid grudge, but I’m just not over it yet. Maybe when I’m done paying off the $4k dental bill.
