I just don't like the taste. To assuage my wife's curiosity, last year I tried a home grown tomato. She thought I just didn't like them as a kid and hadn't tried them since. Now, my palate has grown quite a bit since childhood ( I was a VERY picky kind) but I did not like it at all. It just tasted bad to me. And I will periodically try broccoli, as well. With similar results. If forced to choose between the two, I guess I'd pick the tomato. However, if my choice was starvation or a cheeseburger with mayo, I'll starve. I can't even stand most sauces that are made with it. I can barely stomach ranch dressing made with it. I prefer the sour cream variety.

Well, we've been trying to eat somewhat healthier for the last little while but here's an example of some of the stuff we've been making.
Grilled or baked chicken Fish of some sort Grilled pork chops A steak every now and then. Ribeye for me, strip steak for her. Shrimp
Some kind of sautéed greens - spinach, collard, dandelion Asparagus Sweet potatoes Roasted new potatoes every now and then Zucchini Brussels sprouts ( I've recently acquired a taste for them)
Salad greens with cucumber, radish, onions for me and cucumber, radish tomato for her Sometimes I'll use ranch, sometimes hot bacon grease
