Attaboy. When I went into Panera a few minutes ago to get a bowl of soup, they were playing Dirty Work. Made a pretty good bowl of soup even better.

I wonder what the staff turnaround is like at Panera versus the kinds of lunch counters we’re talking about in this thread.

I ate at a diner once that had staff so old that their sections had wooden plaques with their names spelled out in cursive with that western rope motif. Now that’s a lunch counter.

Well, I live in a college town, so at 8pm the entire staff consisted of all college and high school kids.
