Which ones have you been to?

Yesterday, on the way home from Reno, we stopped at JAX Truckee Diner.
My wife ordered biscuits and gravy and I got the crab cake Benedict. We split our plates between us and both were very tasty. Although we had already had plenty over the course of the weekend, also working in the diners favor was their having Lagunitas IPA on tap  . Prices were decent, wait was a little long but worth it. Would totally go back. I give it a

The only other Triple D joint Ive been to was also in Truckee. We stopped at Burger Me last year on a different return trip from Reno. I got the Bison burger, which was their star menu item. At 1/3 lb and over $12, I was left hungry and light in the wallet. Service was crappy, food was marginal, especially based on the price. Doubtful return to that spot. I give it a  .5

So, where have you gone, please share....

I went to a great little diner in Howell, MI this weekend called Applebees. We started off with some drinks (Beer and a comically titled Margarita) and then ordered some Apps (Potato skins and Spinach, Artichoke dip) and followed it up with a coupla Burgers. I did not get dessert because I was full, but I bet it would have been great. All in all, I would give the experience

It was pretty dimly lit and I was wearing sunglasses so everything beyond my table was an impenetrable blackness. It must have been pretty nice, though because I heard very few screams.

This chick on my Facebook friends list recently posted about Guy Fieri saying something like "...and those weird frosted tips, ewe."

And I'm like...what do his frosted tips have to do with a female sheep?

I am confident that I could have taken down just about any Triple D challenge in my late teens.

Nowadays I couldn't even scratch the surface.

Today we had lunch at the Tattoed Moose, a place in Charleston that was on Dinerz, Driv-inz, and Divez. One of the best lunches I've ever had. A roasted duck club sandwich, and fries cooked in duck fat then covered in a blue cheese sauce and a bulb of roasted garlic. It was fantastic. Topped it off with an Evil Twin The Cowboy smoked pilsner.

It would be a cool show if it wasn't for Guy Fieri. He just has that kinda face that makes me want to slap him in the face. Like really hard.

Man vs Food is a far superior show.

Adam Richman is very likable. He resembles Adam Duritz as well.....
