Most roasters around here bag up single origin beans. It'd be great to find a local place that does blends well. CuveƩ in Austin does, but they're getting harder to find around here.

Been using this bag of Ethiopian beans from Lomi Roasting Co. that some co-workers gave me at the employee Christmas party. Normally I buy Guatemalan beans from Greenway. (Both Lomi and Greenway are local Houston roasters)

I never really thought much about this, but since I'm paying more attention to grind I've noticed that different beans grind at different rates. Or am I going crazy here?

No idea! But it could be that beans that are more dry are grinding faster? Or perhaps it has something to do with how many beans you're putting in the grinder?

Or, yes, you may be going crazy.

I mean, it makes sense. Size could be a factor. Maybe the texture in certain regions is harder than others? Time to go down a rabbit hole. :comp:

Agreed, but if she didn't close last night and I didn't close last night then pulsing after 9 am is fair game.

Have you considered using a hand grinder? They're much quieter, and they often give a better grind than electric grinders.
