Just bought a Breville Express Impress espresso machine on a Cyber Monday deal. Arrives in a week, will take me another week to get it dialed in I reckon. Will report back.
Eh, it’s not too hard when the alternative is your heartbeat randomly speeding up several times a day, and you feel like you might pass out. Shitty feeling.
Im trying to drink less coffee....after Europe i had to stop having it at my place, i only drank one or two from coffee shops.
I accepted now thats impossible in the long run and im going for one month on and one month off of coffee at my place. Im allowed until the 20th of december right now to have it.

Sorry spike. Have you found better stability with espresso?
My wife and I had been finding that as of late, coffee had been making us jittery, and also having to pee a lot. And we weren't drinking any more coffee than normal, just our standard two cups. It was consistent across different varieties/roasts...
It was perfect timing that this article and quiz came out on caffeine content of coffee, tea, espresso. We switched to lattes or americanos about a month ago, and are each feeling much better. Hence the fancy espresso machine purchase. We'll more than pay for that thing if we keep buying two lattes every day.

yeah, at home, we drink americanos every day. when we're at the lake, i drink a drip coffee, and there's a noticeable difference in how jittery i get compared to the americanos.

I wonder if brewing strong pour over coffee with my Ratio 8 brought this on? I had been full time Nespresso pods prior to that. When i seldom get coffee out in the wild, it’s a latte.

This arrived yesterday. Got it all set up last night, there's a bunch of pre-usage stuff you have to do.
Then this morning I spent about an hour getting my espresso dialed in; went through about half a bag of beans. Made a couple lattes.
Latte art notwithstanding, I'm already within spitting distance of a GREAT latte I'd get at a nice shop in town.
