I have another box in the mail to Reid, and now I'm saving up different beers I know doug rr likes but can't get so I have trade value for a Pliny the Elder.
i'm building up a small army of bottles right now...I only have 8..when I'm better stocked I'll come calling
Don't sit on those for too long -- they need to be consumed within 2 months of brewing for optimal awesomeness.
mine have a shelf life of about 5 days max
What would you rank your all-time No. 1 beer (IPA, IIPA, pilsner, lager, stout, you name it)?
pliny at the top because its not readily available and I dont have a chance to get bored with it...Green Flash Ipa is a close 2nd place and is in my fridge at all times..the 2 others that take up space in the fridge are ranger and victory pils for a lighter beer...you?
If you're close (or if you want to make the drive (or flight on your private jet)), Pliny the Younger is being tapped at the Russian River brew pub this week. I would die for a pint of that.
ya know, I've had a few pints of the younger and find imo that elder if far better..people line up outside before this thing is tapped though..its quite a spectacle...
Having only had the Elder, that make me feel a little better. Living in Chicago, though, I don't have much to complain about in terms of access to beer.

I think Ruthless Rye was better last year. I got some this year and its ok but I thought I remembered it being better.
I'm excited that Monday Night Brewery in North Atlanta is opening now. They've been making beer for a long time as Monday Night, but now they have a place to call home.
