I want a dark beer tonight. I normally drink IPAs and space dust is my favorite kind. What dark beer should I have my wife pick up from Walmart for this evening? Guinness?

KCBC's Demon on the Dance Floor is an outstanding Imperial Stout. I have no idea if WalMart has it or what (probably not) but goddamn it's a great, flavorful, complex and satisfying brew. I love it.

Guinness is only truly great in Ireland.

In the rest of the world, it's only serviceable.

All of those are breweries in and around MO. You should have fairly easy access to any of those brands and I think all of them have interesting beers. To be fair, I don't know of any specific dark beers that each of them might have but I'm sure there are options.

I know of boulevard and 4 hands. Walmart doesn't sell them. Ya think I should give schlafly another chance? Didn't seem to hit the spot before

i'm guessing that when people in this thread are posting about dark beers and how they crave them, they're not talking about guinness.
