I always make Cornish hens for thanksgiving instead. No forcing myself to eat increasingly diminishing leftovers for days on end that way, plus it's just better than turkey anyway.

for thanksgiving day this year it will be just me and the mrs...I'll be picking up a big order of Thai food..on Saturday our friends are coming over and they are bringing the traditional stuff..hopefully they bring some decent side dishes

My great-aunt is too old to travel so her family will have the holiday with her this year, and my uncle hurt his back so he's staying home this year, too.
