some random thoughts

1. i too have a sweet tooth, but i don't indulge very often
2. pie >>>> cake
3. i have wanted to make a fruit pie from scratch for awhile, but i'm too intimidated
4. i love cream cheese flavored desserts (cheese cake, frosting with cream cheese, etc.)
5. get those damn raisins out of the cakes and cookies - they're the 45 year old friend that still wants to go to bars until 2 a.m. every time just to get obliterated

Agreed on Pie being better than cake, but my favorite dessert is pineapple upside-down cake.

Tiramisu is probably my second favorite.

Also pie without ice cream, heavy cream or custard is completely worthless, unless it's a pecan pie.

Tiramisu is a top 3 for me.

As far as the eternal cake v pie debate, I’m still team pie but less so than in the past. I’ve had some really good cake.

Does ice cream count as dessert? I love ice cream.

I actually don't eat sweets too often

i associate pies with the holiday season so that's usually when I'll have a slice. although, i won't turn down a slice of key lime pie in the summer.

cake works all year round though.

Yeah, I'm not a big sweets guy. But I do really love pie (and cake, for that matter). Ice cream is awesome. Cookies are good. I like a lot of deserts but I don't crave or eat them very often. But there's not a lot I don't like.

Pie is probably my favorite, if I have to pick one.

It’s impossible to overstate the disappointment of discovering that the cookies that arrived as part of the lunch that your company ordered that you thought were chocolate chip were actually oatmeal raisin.

Chocholate chip buns. Would something like that count, or are we strictly talking after dinner desserts?
