The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

one time a couple years ago I got the linguine w/clams, and it was very literally a box of store-bought pasta in a deep broth of what tasted like tepid pure white wine, with a few canned clams on top.

Put this in your pipe and smoke it:
Moline, IL was the first US city to introduce the $15 minimum wage, just a few weeks before this show. And here you see the result. You think that server cares enough about your hamburger bun to mention this when they know you’re not gonna be tipping?

Had a lukewarm experience at a new place last night. The omicron surge and the staff shortages that come with it is a factor worth considering, but the issues I experienced were related more to the atmosphere than anything else.
We sat outside and it was eerily quiet. I didn't really notice until I went inside to the restroom and heard music playing, but the speakers on the patio were off. I'm sure it was just a manager forgetting to flip an audio switch, but still, how does everyone on staff not notice eventually?
The cheeses were also wrong on the board we ordered. Not a big deal, but again, something that should have been noticed since it was a bright yellow cheddar which is very different from a brie. Just kind of an awkward night, which sucks, because with a toddler it takes the in-laws being in town to make a date happen. Oh well, there's more important things to worry about.

Had everything from poor food with poor service, to excellent everything, and most in between.
The worst ever was a meal in Prague in 1997. A childhood friend of mine and I, were part of a school trip there. One day we spent some time together just the two of us, we went to a small cafe/bar on a side street. We both ordered Spaghetti Bolognese. The food turned out to be completely grey, and tasted worse than puke. The service was somewhat poor, but not rude. We paid and left without eating more than a couple of spoons each.
Several of the rudest were in Milano a few years later. My girlfriend knew Italian perfectly, but we only spoke English publically. The things said about us in Italian were often rude, even if we were just a young couple, both dressing and behaving decent. Food was from poor to excellent, but always better than that awful meal in Prague.
