I've never had a torta
if you ever find yourself in nashville hit up Carniceria y Taqueria Don Juan... its required eating, starting with the torta sandwich...and since you're in the area save room for house of kabob lamb skewers nearby..
After Hattie B's of course
you have to get there one day...or prince's..all good stuff
Do you prefer one over the other?

But back to tortas.
It really really is all about the bread. The best bread is somehow fluffy and soft all around yet impervious to all the fat and sauce that makes a torta say ugh.
