we checked out a new kurdish place tonight. some dish with lamb wrapped in fried eggplant, with both a neapolitan and yogurt sauce. everything was cooked perfectly, and the two sauces worked great together.

i know its touristy because of the Sideways movie from years ago but we'll be eating here in a couple days..been a few times before and its always great..looking forward to the grilled artichokes..

I'm a sucker for signage that simply reads "cocktails." Any time I see one, I always expect cozy maroon leather swivel stools with a nice backrest, Libbey glasses full of Dewers and soda, some wood paneling on the walls and a bartender who uses that antiquated method of paper clipping your credit card to a sheet from an order pad where your drinks get tallied. If I have the time, I'll always pull right over and stop in for a couple.
