The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
The brown drinks will start when I get home. I have a standing tradition of getting drunk and watching a Jason Sudeikis movie on/around my birthday. So, I think we might do a whiskey tasting in the afternoon. Then Prune. Then home for more whiskey and Kodachrome.
what night are you going to prune? I want to put it on lenny's card
Wed the 25th.
cool, bring yours incase lenny's doesn't go through
Probably a good idea. Should I just drop Lenny's name when I first sit down, or... ?

We did a dinner for two with a combo of Ethiopian spiced lamb, jerk chicken, and blackened shrimp. Served with a spicy cabbage salad and a side of Ethiopian collard Mac n cheese.

The atmosphere was fine except for the snooty patrons. The food was just a huge letdown. You really shouldn't advertise that a dish contains foie gras if you're just going to add a tiny bit to a dollop of Hollandaise sauce. Especially if you're just going to smother that sauce in chives and overpower the flavor of everything on the plate. Ugh. What a terribly conceived and executed meal.

That sucks. Small amounts of foie goes a long way, but that still sounds like way too much going on.
I remember eating at a really nice place near Market and 20th (around the corner from El Chapultapec) when I traveled to Denver a few years ago. It was a good meal and a good atmosphere, but nothing special. Does Denver have a decent dining scene? Everything on Eater looks like steak or breakfast.

Foie gras doesn't need a thing but bread.
Foie gras is one of those things that became "cool" with modern chefs. I've seen a lot of menus with stuff like what LV experienced, but it seems that it still works best in traditional French cuisine
