The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
i'd like to, but i'm worried you'll give up. it usually takes me half of one day (about six hours) on the weekend to shop, chop, and cook everything i want to prep for the upcoming week
but then i spend almost no time preparing meals during the week and i'm able to eat really well. i save money overall too by avoiding eating at restaurants (save for one cheat meal per week)

This is absolutely the way to go. Take Sunday to buy everything, chopv eggies and put them in containers to start. Figure what you are going to make all week and thus when you come home from work instead of wasting time thinking about it and ultimately settling on delivery or take out....you are able to throw something together very quickly.
Soups, wraps, rice and steamed veggies...
I have not done this since my lady has left town. I kind of went down the bachelor hole.

exactly what i do
dinner every night is lean meat + roasted vegetables. all the veg that can be refrigerated gets chopped and put into containers on sunday, then dumped on a foil-lined cookie sheet and popped into the oven at dinner time. prep takes less time than it takes the oven to preheat, and the only clean up is throwing away the foil. the combination of optimizing my time and feeling great from eating well has made the lifestyle switch totally worth it.
i also cook a big batch of steel cut oats on sunday and wednesday nights to snack on at work between lunch and dinner

I spent half of Sunday making a killer elk chili and cornbread, still eating it and loving it.

your concern is valid
do you want to start eating better? if you do then start small, bub
just try to make one part of one meal healthy for a month (so have some oatmeal with breakfast, or carrots with lunch, or roasted veg with dinner). build on that
I did have some breakfast taco's this morning :\ but i did make them myself and there were spinach in them. Also, maybe i need the protein since ive been lifting.

hey strat, rate my breakfast:
3 scrambled eggs (mix 2 tbsp cottage cheese + splash of almond milk while beating the eggs) 4oz ground chicken thighs 20 oz smoothie (almond milk, pomegranate juice (100% fruit, not from concentrate), ground flax, almond butter, spinach, beets, avocado, banana, blueberries)
