Lava is the other. Come on, Chris. Everyone knows that.

In fairness, he could be thinking of blackberry flavored New York Seltzer as well.

That’s an interesting question. Breast milk of course. Use of milk from animals is considered to be about ten thousand years old. Use of grapes for drinking, is also considered ten thousand years old. Alcohol as early as 9000 years ago. Tea in regular use 4000 years ago. Blood has also been used in cooking and for soups for thousand of years all around the world.

I have a case of water at home, but I prefer to fill up my reusable Nalgene.

Well that doesn't exactly topple the domino chain in Anders' post.

Well, blood used in cooking isn’t a drink. And everything else listed is added to water to make the drink. So they don’t really bump water down the list.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that water isn't one of the oldest drinks known to man.

washing my hands yesterday in a restaurant bathroom in wisconsin got me thinking of how much i hate the feeling of hard/soft/well/whatever water where it feels like you can never get the soap off your hands. i think that if we had this water in our home, i would go absolutely mad.

i'm not sure how some of you rubes do it.
