Food Dilemmas

I was in KC last week and...

the BBQ was just OK.

First of all... go fuck yourself. But secondly, where did you eat?

Joe's Kansas City and the Tin Kitchen in Weston.

The meat was great, don't get me wrong, I'm just used to BBQ being meat cooked in the sauce, not meat by itself. And we weren't there on the burnt tip days so I missed out on that.

The slaw at Joe's was really good too. It's hard to find a place that doesn't put something weird in it like pepper or seeds or really anything other than sauce, cabbage, carrot, and onion. For example, the 24hr slaw at the Tin Kitchen had pickled cabbage.

I've been to Joe's. Burnt ends would have hopefully changed your mind.

I imagine a lot of it is if you live there you know what you're doing whereas we were just visiting and had to guess.

I was very surprised at how many people ordered the mushroom BBQ while we were sitting there. I would say that in the 30 minutes we were there, it was at about two announced per minute.

Joe's is pure bliss. I could eat there every single day of my life.

i like lamb chops and we made some the other night.. we probably cook them twice a year.after the other night we both realized that we would rather have lamb at a restaurant or have it at someone else house..i don't like to cook it, prepare it, have it smell gamey in the house for a few days and it makes your fingers and cask iron pan smell..i'm done

Man, I cook lamb chops like a boss. I love cooking them. They're about the only thing I'm good at cooking. You're welcome to my place any time.
