when I figure out how to post pics on here I’ll post a pic of the “meat locker” from the Butcher BBQ Stand in Wellston, OK. The guy who runs it trained under Aaron Franklin.

Tis good.

You had me at Aaron Franklin. Lewis BBQ in Charleston, SC is also run by a Franklin protegee. The guy must be doing something right to inspire so many successful businessmen to open up shop around the country.

if any of you guys subscribe to Masterclass, there is a great aaron franklin class on there..cant remember how many parts or hours it is but
I've watched it a few times

That photo reminds me...

Smoked turkey is a really, really underrated choice on a standard three meat plate.

I've eaten a fair amount of NC BBQ, and can only recall getting the bread and pickles at one place by the coast

Everything on that tray is great, though I’ll take Joe’s burnt ends any day. Hidden under the bread slices are Twinkie’s. Their beans include bits of apple pie, which drew me in, but I’m almost certain they put apple cider vinegar in them to make em’ tangy.

a few bites of each. Saved some for the game later that night. That was two years ago super bowl Sunday. It was a very good day.
