Since my normal Friday night plans are canceled tonight, I may just get the land and sea special as a takeout order for dinner tonight.

If anyone ever passes through Fort Worth, you'll need to hit up Heim BBQ. https://www.yelp.com/biz/heim-barbecue-fort-worth-3  Brisket, pulled pork, bacon burnt ends, and ribs are amazing. It also has 100+ bottles of whiskey, too. Seriously, the bacon burnt ends are meat candy.

what many consider one of the finest restaurants in the world, alinea, isn't far from our place, and my wife has been talking about going for years. we've both worked really hard and had some successes this year, so i pulled the trigger on tickets for her xmas present. soonest i could book is february, but the anticipation will be part of the fun. |
