I had them at a restaurant, but I was thinking of you the whole time.

That was just the push I needed. Went for the buttermilk pancakes topped with banana and pecan with a side of sausage and scrambled eggs. Large orange juice on the side. The meal was all the more decadent for being a 4:00 pm Ash Wednesday feast.

Glad I'm reading this post after I indulged myself earlier in the week. That sounds good but it's too rainy to leave the house right now.

Did those Japanese pancakes again today, they came out much better now that I got some actual ring molds. Did a couple with a little orange blossom water, those were especially great.

Yes, but super light and fluffy -- you whip egg whites and fold them into the batter.

Those look great. When you posted about that first attempt I felt bad about your lack of ring molds and their obvious effect on the end result.

90% chance I try making this myself on Wednesday or Thursday.

Nice! I've sort of combined two different recipes if you'd like me to share it.

Whatever you think would be most helpful for someone with good but not great pan technique.

Oh, I went to lunch at a gourmet hot dog place this afternoon with my brother and treated myself to a sausage benedict dog. It was a really nice spin on a traditional Sunday brunch.
