Doug many states can't sell liquor in any grocery store as it is regulated by the state. I think California is one of the few exceptions

bodysnatcher wrote:So what’s the perk of Trader Joe’s? Is it the prices? Or do they have unique items? I remember their produce being wrapped in plastic which I found weird, but maybe they stopped that. I’ll go check it out this weekend.

a liter of jameson is $24

Ok never mind I’ll go later today, not the weekend

Big ice storm coming Friday and Saturday and we want to avoid the stores tomorrow, so we went to Trader Joe’s to increase our snack supply. Not only did they have chili onion crunch, but i found some kalua pork spring rolls

I had a chance to visit a Whole Foods 365 today. Basically a pantry version of a Whole Foods. Felt a little like a Trader Joe's with mostly packaged food and a small produce section. Not really my thing unless it's Aldi, who justifies their existence through great prices. Easy to get in and out, but I went in for hot food which they don't do very well there.
