The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

If you Google it and follow links, you'll find all the peer reviewed research papers you want. You're being traggish. I'm not a scientist or a nutritionist and I'm not here to prove shit to you. Please send me a sample of your wife's piss and/or a peer reviewed scientific research paper that tells me that this basic fact about legumes and grains is not true because you feel like it isn't or whatever. Why are you so weird?

It's just so weird to be like: "I said something scientific and can prove that its true with this anecdotal evidence about my wife's pee. But that scientific thing you said, well, I need you to link me to specific peer reviewed scientific research papers and proof that you read them before I accept basic facts. I am unwilling to look for this info on my own." Like, I don't do anything without having good information first. And you said it in the most pompous way, too. It just pushed my buttons

I don't remember what I meant to type, but it was something else that got autocorrected to irrefutable.
#2. I was RMing from my phone, so wasn't about to start looking up peer-reviewed articles at that very moment. But here's a screen grab from the thesis (for a BA) I submitted a couple years back:
Not claiming I'm the foremost expert on RM, just that I have a very specific way of looking at this stuff. And I am not skeptical of Argo specifically, just skeptical of taking any "popular source" food data at face value. It's so easy to manipulate statements within the food industry, and then for the information to be filtered throughout the internet's various channels...
But my overall experience throughout the food industry leads me to believe that most people lack the resources and/or the know-how to source and regularly prepare vegetable-based meals that can meet their individual protein requirements. And I'll reiterate that I'm not saying you can't do it, Argo; just that I suspect it will be very difficult (at least according to how I would approach the situation).

Sorry bud, wasn't trying to push buttons. But the bold part speaks to what I think was the crux of my initial reaction: I'm just inherently skeptical of the information you're getting, because there's a lot of bad, or skewed, information out there.
#4. This is what happens when someone spills their proteins daily:
It builds up on the porcelain, you see? And you said:

And you don't need a full protein every time you eat. We don't pee out all our amino acids every hour
I never claimed to have any scientific knowledge on this topic; your statement just rang false to me because my otherwise healthy wife spills her proteins every day.

Did you just post something from your own undergraduate thesis? Just ftr, I'm not a scientist and I don't read peer reviewed scientific articles. Most people don't read like that and asking for one when I post a very simple thing is kind of ridiculous.
I'm about 80% vegetarian, but I don't think I'd ever go vegan. But I'm hella willing to pay a bit of a premium to be an early adopter of lab-grown meat when it arrives in a coupla years. Would I be 100% vegetarian at that point? What are the rules?

Also shut up malice; I didn't give you shit when you wrote the most Massholish post ever about all the MA cities and MBTA routes you were familiar with.
