I've discovered that I don't like IPAs with a "pine" flavor. I had a local one and one from Oskar Blues. It's like drinking furniture polish.
Drink a better one
Suggestions?
Not an IPA but a SN PA is quite strong in the pine department, have you noticed the hops used in the brews you've disliked? Might not be a big fan of cascade...

Yeah, I love citrus IPAs. Fresh Squeezed is a favorite. As is Racer 5.
I'll give Green Flash's West Coast a look for another crack at a "pine" flavor. I've liked all the Green Flash stuff I've had previously.

I'll give this a shot too. Thanks, friend.
Actually, I realized my response was kind of shitty. Sorry.
It sounds like you don't like mosaic hops (typically associated with piney tastes). The West Coast IPA from Green Flash is pretty strong. You may want to stick with fresh IPAs with cascade or citra hops. The Fresh Squeezed is a good suggestion.

Green Flash's West Coast IPA was solid. The "pine" flavors don't really hit until the end and they seemed to be smoother than the other pine IPAs I've had. Strong but not overly bitter.

We have a winner.
Also, if you can find it, try to get your hands on the beer that I just posted above.

I remain very, very sad that Surly and Maui Brewing are unavailable in NC.
Can get Maui here in SC. Just drive 30 minutes to the border, B.
I've had Todd the Axe Man at the brewery a couple of times, and it is great (Surly is awesome) and I just picked up a 4-pack of it his week. It was the first time I'd seen it in stores.

I picked up some new stuff his week.
I've never had this, but I'm excited to try it. I'll be putting two of the bottles in my cellar to age.
I've never had this either, so I picked up 2 bombers.
This is new to me too. I might be most excited to try these over the rest of the stuff I got this week. I'll be putting two of these in my cellar to age also.
