I might give this a try....love Maron...always thought Alison Brie was cute but she's way too skinny in that trailer.

This show blew me away this past week. I could hardy stop watching in the evenings, and it was all over too fast. It's really funny, heartfelt, and brilliantly acted. Hope you enjoy it too.

Started and finished this over a couple of days and loved it! All the characters are great, and I was pleasantly surprised to see it wasn't solely about Alison Brie's character. She's not entirely likeable and they don't try to portray her as a good person either. I like that she has flaws and the show explores them, it makes her character feel more fleshed out.

The episodes could be longer, though :(

Spoiler: show
Alison Brie getting naked in the first episode was another pleasant surprise :luv:

I agree with everything you said. The episodes feel way too short. Good point about building several characters. At times it reminded me of Orange Is The New Black, just funnier.

You really put those of us who like it in our place there. Can't argue with that.

When I saw that the show comes from the makers of OITNB I was slightly hesitant because I'm not huge on that show, but I think this has the potential to be better as long as they keep exploring the rest of the ensemble.

I was worried that Debbie would only be portrayed as a side character in terms of who she is in relation to Ruth, but it was nice to see the focus on her as well. Reminds me of New Girl in the sense that I think they initially aimed for the show to be about Zooey Deschanel's Jess but the showrunners quickly realised they'd struck gold with the surrounding players and made it a group show.

Also, Kate Nash!

Fine, fine, fine. I'll let it go.

By the way this show gives women a pretty cool spot. And they also show them naked.

Interesting.

I'm gonna watch some more of this tonight, prolly. It's definitely improved as it's gone on. Hopefully, it continues to get better and better.

Im messing with you.

I only saw the pilot it was average for me.

Despite my admiration for the naked female form, this show still revs my engine mostly because it's about wrestling. Is that wrong?

The pilot isn't very good. I agree. The second episode is probably even worse, though.
