If you have disney+, might I also recommend the short Pixar animated series "Dug Days" as well as the phenomenal Toy Story short, "Toy Story That Time Forgot"

Man, I love Bluey, and luckily, so does my daughter.

I'm waiting for the right time to get her watching Adventure Time with me, because I missed like 3 seasons of that.

Ok guys, Bluey is awesome. But I’d say Bluey and Peppa are on the same level.

I want my son to connect with Bluey, but right now he's connecting with A Bug's Life.

Last week in the doctor's lobby I had to put it on my phone for him to calm him down. The little empath produces an acorn that was somehow in his pocket and starts trying to give it to all the ants on the screen one by one. "Here you go. Here you go. Eat. Eat. You're welcome. I luh you bugs"

Nah, just the private charity element of capitalism. We try to raise him to understand that his earned wealth (an acorn) is his but also that one element of wealth building in the private sector (his pocket) is the freedom to share with the causes that he's passionate about (digital ants robbed by mobster crony capitalists crickets.)

They're all on the bayou, right? I remember watching that and feeling like it was around where I grew up.

Took my kid to see The Secret Life of Pets this weekend. Two thoughts:

1. So fun to see her wowed by the big screen, fully engaged with the theatrical experience. Talking smack with the other toddlers, providing great commentary for the rest of the audience.

2. Pretty sure this movie is every bit as good as Toy Story, Finding Nemo, etc. I’d seen before and really enjoyed it. But watching the kids laugh at all the stuff targeted towards them, while I could enjoy the stuff targeted at parents — and to see that many bits hit both audiences at once. Such a fun modern family movie.

Mulan (the animated one). Never saw this before. It’s awful. Just no life to it and the character development is non-existent. My kid is asking me to explain it to her and I don’t know how.

Our boys LOVED Frozen there for awhile, now it’s “too girly” for them and they say they hate it. I never saw #2 but the first one had good music.

Hmmm, rigid gender roles learned in the Bammer household. Who would have though it?

Hey man I also think it’s strange that they like baseball and pokemon and Nintendo and not real big on barbie and tea parties. Super weird.
