I wonder if the black and white Superman costume was added as a big "fuck you" to the studio execs demanding more saturation.
That was taken from the comics
I know it existed already but I wonder why it was included here.
Maybe it just looked cool.
Without having seen the movie, I’d guess it’s following the comics storyline in which it appeared. After Superman was killed (but not really) by Doomsday, he was placed in the black costume which was like a rejuvenating suit for him. So since he was killed by Doomsday (but not really) in BvS...
That's a much less interesting reason if so.
In the comics the suit was designed to help the weakened Superman absorb more solar energy.
That’s what I said.

Just finished this and the re-watch of MOS and BvS. Overall, this last movie was too long and boring. Cyborg was ok. Flash was terrible. I was already familiar with Namor, I mean Aquaman, from his solo movie. Steppenwolf looked more like Gog than the Steppenwolf from the comics. Nice to see J’onn J’onzz and I liked how he’d been there the whole time. (Big fan of Harry Lennix anyway). I still have huge problems with BvS which, in turn, bled into this one. Affleck makes a damn fine Batman/Bruce Wayne but they still don’t get the character completely right. Tho this movie was probably the best. Cavill does make a good Superman and obviously the three movies were a trilogy showing how Superman becomes a hero. Which totally misses the point of Superman. All in all, I really don’t think I’ll ever feel the need to watch any of these ever again. Hard to believe with setups like that, they’re not going forward with any more.
And Burt was right. Superman in the black costume was stupid. There was no reason for it at all. Totally pointless.

I don't normally bother with reaction videos but I enjoyed this. Might check out there other video's.
I enjoy their stuff. They're all visual artists, so they do a lot of visual effects reactions. They also bring in stunt people and animators to do reactions to action scenes and cartoons.

Fired the Snyder Cut up again tonight and fell asleep about an hour in. It’s a slog and a significant downgrade from the ultimate edition of BvS, which I like a lot.
