Just saw a preview of this with the author and screenwriter, Patrick Ness in a Q&A afterwards. Powerful movie. The kid is an incredible actor. And the story is brilliant.
I've heard nothing but raves for this thing. But the trailer didn't do much for me. Still, it's getting such unanimous praise that I'm really excited for it.

Oh - wasn't terribly fussed on The Impossible. It was alright, but nothing I'd go out of my way to watch
I watched that kiwi film Boy the other night rangi. Really good.
I think I need to re-Watch that. First time it didn't resonate with me, but everything else Taika Waititi has touched has been gold, so maybe I was just in a funk when I watched it

The monster is actually pretty terrifying throughout. It's a PG 13 rating here. But the design and production on him and the animated sequences were truly beautiful.
