Just saw a preview of this with the author and screenwriter, Patrick Ness in a Q&A afterwards.
Powerful movie. The kid is an incredible actor. And the story is brilliant.

Does this take place before or after the events in Rogue One?

I've heard nothing but raves for this thing. But the trailer didn't do much for me. Still, it's getting such unanimous praise that I'm really excited for it.

Really wouldn't be judging it by the trailer tho there are other trailers for it.
Emotional wreck after seeing it.

Yeah, the trailer I saw was an older one. I haven't watched the one you posted yet.

The director just liked my tweets about it. He directed the impossible. Need to see that.

Oh - wasn't terribly fussed on The Impossible. It was alright, but nothing I'd go out of my way to watch

I think I need to re-Watch that. First time it didn't resonate with me, but everything else Taika Waititi has touched has been gold, so maybe I was just in a funk when I watched it

The monster is actually pretty terrifying throughout. It's a PG 13 rating here. But the design and production on him and the animated sequences were truly beautiful.
