Hawley's putting in some serious work:

TV - Legion, Fargo

Film - Man Alive, Pale Blue Dot

And he's published five novels so far.

I'm really loving this so far... I have no idea where its going, whats happening, and thats the beauty of it.

And of course they can simple wrap the show up a year from now, 2 years, 5 years, 10 years from now... with David waking up to Xavier... and just say the whole show was in his head, they can literally do ANYTHING because of Legions character/powers.

I also just read that they are actually keeping key plot points from the kid playing Legion, so he literally is reacting to things with no real knowledge of what its going to mean down the road. Almost sounded like a Curb Your Enthusiasm plot idea, where only certain people know the scene going in.

Interesting. Do you have a link to that? I'd like to read it.

It was in one of the promo links Marvels FB page had up for Legion. They make way to many posts though, I cant find that one. Might have been an interview with the director even? if it helps ya google it.

I've never listened to Feist before but that song and sequence in episode 4 was epic.

TOTALLY! I really was expecting it to be from a 60's singer, was shocked it was something modern. Listened to maybe 5 songs or so of hers the other day. Reminds me a bit of Cat Power.

I'm quitting on this one. Partway through the fifth episode, which feels totally different from the preceding four, I realized that I just don't really care about these characters at all. It's fine, just...not really doing it for me.

I havnt watched 5 yet, baseball has my attention for the night. 4 kinda felt weak till the last 10 mins or so. But its only an 8 episode season, I wont give up half way in.

I just finished ep 4. I love the art design, the direction and the cast...its very very weird and long, but ill stay if its only 8 ep.

That's all IMDB had listed anyway when I checked. I was debating binge watching it at the end or going weekly. Figured with only 8, I'll go weekly and maybe binge watch it again later this summer (if its good)

Episode One was really good other than the CGI at the end.

I love the horror elements...ep5 had some real creepy moments. A little bummed to hear it's only 8 episodes but maybe that's a good thing.

Have they said he's Xavier's kid yet?

Im ok with 8 eps....they are long enough. So far im more interested in the art direction and the cool imaginery than the story itself.

episode 5 revealed he was adopted. the plan is at some point to reveal Xavier as the father, but I doubt it happens this year (unless they've REALLY kept it a secret)

FX has just announced that they’ve renewed their critically acclaimed Marvel drama series “Legion” for a second season.

Noah Hawley, the creative force behind the network’s “Fargo” series, is in charge of “Legion” which has become one of the most-watched new cable dramas of the past year.

Hawley will continue as executive producer along with Lauren Shuler Donner, Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb, Jim Chory and John Cameron. Dan Stevens’ David Haller character will be back to weird you out early next year.

as much as i know about legion from the comics i feel like since this is only 8 episodes it might be best to set aside a day and binge watch em. the casting is really great and while its easy to say you cant picture someone else playing david any better i feel stevens nails all the nuances to a T
