I watched Mike Birbiglia's "My Girlfriend's Boyfriend" recently and thought it was incredible. Really heartfelt at times.

Agreed. That was a great show and I think it pushes the boundary of what a live act can do. The whole set is one long narrative that's both poignant and funny.
