Just finished Season One. Looks like we’ll have more Michael dammit. That last scene was pretty cool.

Yeah cool last scene. I still don't know how I feel about the show. It had some moments. Some sections were interminable. Though I'll admit the twist with
Spoiler: show
Lorca
took my by complete surprise. Usually I can see stuff coming a mile away. I'll watch Season 2.

First episode of Season 2 was surprisingly good. Pike is just what the show needed. It all still feels very non-canon which would be fine if they didn't insist it was. Scenes from the upcoming season left me pretty apprehensive. We'll see.

Episode 2 was Star Trek. It was nice. Next episode looks like its going back to Season 1 nonsense.

Episode 3 was basically a backdoor pilot for the Georgiou character's new Section 31 show I hope never gets made.

Wow this show has become a hot mess. It's clipping along at a breakneck pace to the point where it feels like they are trying to cram 3 seasons of story into 1. There are some cool ideas and concepts but they need to slow the fuck down and explore them.

I’ve been trying to watch the last episode for a week now. It keeps popping an error up whenever I start it.

After this season, I want a Pike show.

Finally got to finish this. Not a bad ending. I guess now we know why we’ve never heard about Discovery or her crew. Gonna be interesting to see where that go from here.

Dammit CBS. Do the right thing. Give us a Pike show!!

That’s not encouraging.

At least we’re getting a Pike show.

So in the latest episode the gang cracks wise about crew members body parts and gore all over the floor while insulting a "janitor" named Gene who is scooping it up with a shovel. Yes they named the object of their derision Gene. I think I gave this show enough of my time. This ain't Star Trek. It might not be as soul crushing as Picard cause there is nothing to care about here but there's no point watching something so gross and ugly. I'll try again when JJ/Kurtzman/Bad Robot/Secret Hideout and all the other people associated with Star Trek since 2009 are gone.
