I had a weird dream that they fired RPats and decided to replace him with Christian Bale. They didn't do reshoots. They just had Bale film alone in a green screen room and digitally replaced him in the final cut.

How was it, absent of that trademark Bale/Caine sexual tension?

if it gets into the depth and style it claims to (detective movie, film noire, horror etc) then a long run time might really work for it; it's intriguing

The only difference between PG13 and R is lots of F bombs and gore. I don't see why a Batman movie would need that.

Every movie should be the exact same length as Killing Them Softly.

Hard agree. Almost 3 hours is way too long for fucking Batman. It'll probably keep me from seeing this until I can watch it from my couch.

If I don't sit in a theater for a 3 hour movie than I'm almost certainly going to get distracted or play with my phone during the movie. Short movies only in my house.

If its good three hours isn't too long. They should have an intermission for a pee break though. There's no guarantee that runtime on IMDB is correct.

I think it's the case that a lot of tentpole productions with studio IP are overly long because they want the audience to feel like they're really getting what they've paid for, which says a lot about those types of audiences and how their brains work. That said, The Dark Knight was 2.5 hours long, so they're not breaking the mold here.

I'll probably watch it in two parts.

That dude sat on his couch watching Hobbit movies the whole time I was there. It was unbelievable.
