I feel like it might be time to give this podcast its own thread.

Pretty solid episode with Steve Martin and Martin Short. It felt like the Christmas episode, even the last one before the break is this week.

More good sketches than bad ones last week.

Apple Pay Scrooge. Funny shit.

Very average episode; last week’s was a tough one to follow.
Of course Strong’s departure is the big story from last night. It’s unusual to see a cast member leave mid season. Honestly it was a surprise to see her return this year. She was underutilized and when McKinnon hit big it seemed she took some of Cisley’s spotlight as the go to female cast member. At one time Strong seemed to on the verge of a breakout but never quite did.

Up and down episode. I’m not as big of a fan of Plaza as some of you but she did fine as a host. After a few stumbles there was a pretty good run of sketches from Black Lotus to Taboo to School Announcements (that last one was just silliness) leading into Sam Smith’s first performance piece, I mean song. His second one was even more over the WTF-ness. George Santos got the opener and again in Update, Yang was an easy choice to play him. Update was alright. Lots of extra cameos tonight; Tony Hawk got an unexpected laugh in one of the weaker sketches.

I don’t think I’ve watched a lick of this season.

Watching last night’s off the dvr. The Big Hollywood Game Show is super relatable.
Actually the show was pretty good, one of the better episodes of the season. Pedro Pascal was great and clearly having a blast. Lively audience too.
Couple weeks off before Woody Harrelson hosts on the 25th.

Big Hollywood Game, Mario Kart, Coma Guy (Heidi G. trying not to break was great) and everyone losing it at the Steak House skit was hysterical.

I just watched this. I know Lorne frowns upon them breaking but surely to god even he was laughing.
